Meet our
Senior Pastor
Larry and Nancy Arrowood have served The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek in Seymour, Indiana, for more than 40 years, dedicating much of their lives to ministry, Christian education, and the growth of the local church.
Their first season of ministry in Seymour began in 1972, when they served at The Tabernacle as assistant pastor until 1975. They returned to Seymour in 1982, when Larry Arrowood served for five years as the first Executive Vice President of Indiana Bible College, which was located in Seymour at the time. During those years, Pastor Arrowood founded Seymour Christian Academy, known today as Sandy Creek Christian Academy.
In 1989, the Arrowoods returned to Seymour once again, this time with Larry Arrowood serving as Lead Pastor of The Tabernacle. They have faithfully served the church and community ever since.
Under Pastor Arrowood’s leadership, the ministry continued to grow and expand. In 2016, Sandy Creek Christian Academy relocated from its longtime facility at 301 Indianapolis Avenue to the growing Sandy Creek property at 5707 N. Sandy Creek Drive. In 2023, The Tabernacle also relocated its church facilities to Sandy Creek, bringing the church and school together on one campus.
On Father’s Day 2024, Pastor Arrowood led the congregation into the construction of a brand-new church facility. Two years later, on Father’s Day 2026, the completed facility marked another major milestone in the history of The Tabernacle. Today, the church, Sandy Creek Christian Academy, and daycare ministry, Sandy Creek Childcare, all operate from the Sandy Creek campus, with approximately 36 additional acres available for future development.
As Pastor Arrowood prepares to transition from the role of Lead Pastor in November 2026, he leaves behind a legacy of growth, vision, and investment in future generations. His decades of leadership have helped shape The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek into a ministry campus designed to serve families throughout Seymour and the surrounding community for years to come.

Pastor-Elect
The Arrowood family has faithfully served The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek in Seymour, Indiana, for more than 25 years, investing deeply in the church, its students, and the surrounding community.
Aaron Arrowood served as Youth Pastor at The Tabernacle from 1999 until 2018. During those years, his wife, Misty Arrowood, began serving in the church’s Christian school, formerly known as Seymour Christian Academy and now Sandy Creek Christian Academy.
Aaron served as Principal of the academy from 2007 through 2026, helping lead the school through a remarkable season of growth and development. In 2026, Misty stepped into the role of Head of School, continuing their shared commitment to excellence in Christian education.
Under their leadership and alongside a dedicated team, Sandy Creek Christian Academy achieved several significant milestones. The school became accredited through the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE), became the first Apostolic UPCI school to receive accreditation through the International Christian Accreditation Association (ICAA), and later earned accreditation through Cognia. The academy has grown to approximately 180 students, while its facilities and educational resources have expanded to better serve students and their families.
In 2022, Aaron Arrowood was elected Pastor of The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek. After years of serving the church in numerous leadership roles, he will step fully into the pastoral role in November 2026.

Together, Aaron and Misty Arrowood have dedicated decades of ministry to strengthening the local church, investing in the next generation, and advancing Christian education in Seymour and beyond.
Their children are Matthew Arrowood and Audrey Arrowood. Matthew married Jessica in 2023 and they have been serving as youth pastor since 2025.
